Is Elena Ceausescu the great-grandmother of Rahel Orban, the eldest daughter of Viktor Orban? No, that's not true: Ceausescu was executed in 1989, and she was never photographed with the daughter and granddaughter of the Hungarian prime minister.
The claim appeared in a TikTok video (archived here) on December 30, 2023 under the title (translated from Hungarian to English by Lead Stories staff):
The granny of Rahel is no other than Miss 'Ceau'

The woman in the picture on the left is Elena Ceausescu, but the woman on the left side of the photo on the right is Sára Sipos Lászlóné Bujda, the grandmother of Viktor Orban and the great-grandmother of Rahel Orban. She is not Elena Ceausescu, who was executed with her husband Nicolae during a short revolution against his regime in December 1989. Nicolae Ceausescu was the Communist dictator of Romania who was charged with crimes against humanity.
The photo used in the video on TikTok was published in the Hungarian tabloid Blikk in 2016. According to the article it's a family photo taken after the christening of the prime minister's granddaughter.
